1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and authentication details when you sign up.
- Content you provide: the product images you upload (Input) and the 3D models, images, and textures generated from them (Output).
- Payment information: when you buy credits, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; we keep limited records such as the transaction reference, pack purchased, and amount.
- Usage and technical data: basic logs such as IP address, browser type, and actions in the app, used for security and to operate the Service.
- Cookies: we use essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
2. How we use your information
- to provide the Service, including processing your images into Output;
- to manage your account, credits, and purchases;
- to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot;
- to respond to your support requests;
- to comply with legal obligations.
3. Our legal basis (consent)
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, which you provide by creating an account and using the Service, and as otherwise permitted or required by law. You may withdraw consent (see "Your rights" below), though some features may stop working as a result.
4. Service providers and disclosure
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as needed to do so. These currently include:
- fal.ai: runs the AI models that generate your Output (your Input images are sent for processing);
- Supabase: authentication, database, and file storage;
- Stripe: payment processing;
- Railway: application hosting;
- Cloudflare: content delivery and network security (processes IP addresses to route and protect traffic);
- Resend: delivery of account and transactional emails;
- Sentry: error and performance monitoring, which may capture technical data such as IP address and account identifiers when an error occurs;
- Plausible: privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or others.
5. Storage and cross-border processing
Our providers store and process data on servers located in the United States. This means your personal information may be stored or processed outside Canada and may be accessible to authorities in those jurisdictions under their laws. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.
6. Data retention
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated content (see below). Some information may remain in backups for a limited period, or be retained where required for legal, tax, or security purposes.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls scoped to your account (row-level security), private storage with signed, time-limited file links, and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, withdraw consent, or have your information deleted. To make a request, email us at hello@satellitedesign.studio. We will respond within the timeframe required by PIPEDA/PIPA. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children and is intended for users who have reached the age of majority. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
