3D mannequin & product models, made for Rhino
Upload one product photo and get a clean, pre-textured 3D model that opens natively in Rhino 7 and 8. No scanning, no retopo, no 3D team.
A real VMrender output. Open it in Rhino before you sign up.
Which file you get
You download a zipped OBJ bundle: geometry, an MTL material file and PBR texture maps. Rhino imports OBJ more reliably than FBX, and the base colour wires up automatically — the roughness, metallic and normal maps take about 30 seconds to assign by hand.
Step by step
Import a VMrender model into Rhino
- 1
File → Import → model.obj. The base colour appears automatically.
- 2
Select the object, open Properties → Material, click the material name.
- 3
Change "Type" to "Physically Based".
- 4
Assign Base Color → model_albedo.png, Roughness → model_roughness.png, Metallic → model_metallic.png, Bump → model_normal.png (set its type to Normal).
- 5
Switch the viewport to "Rendered" display mode to preview.
Questions
Rhino questions, answered
Does it work in Rhino for Mac and Windows?+
Yes. OBJ import is identical on both, and the PBR material steps are the same in Rhino 7 and 8 on either platform.
Are the meshes heavy?+
No. They're optimized for retail VM presentation, not product engineering, so they stay light enough to drop several into a single store layout.
