3D mannequin & product models for SketchUp
Drop a product photo in, get a textured 3D model that imports into SketchUp Pro with its base colour already wired up.
A real VMrender output. Open it in SketchUp before you sign up.
Which file you get
SketchUp imports the OBJ and its base colour through the MTL automatically — that's the most SketchUp shows natively. For a full rendered look, the bundle's roughness, metallic and normal maps slot into V-Ray, Enscape or Twinmotion.
Step by step
Import a VMrender model into SketchUp
- 1
File → Import → model.obj (enable the OBJ importer if prompted).
- 2
The base colour appears automatically via the MTL file.
- 3
For a rendered look, open your V-Ray, Enscape or Twinmotion material editor.
- 4
Assign model_roughness.png, model_metallic.png and model_normal.png to the matching slots.
Questions
SketchUp questions, answered
Do I need a rendering plugin?+
Only for the shiny PBR look. The base colour and geometry import into plain SketchUp with no plugin at all.
Will it bloat my model?+
No — the meshes are lightweight on purpose, so a rack of garments won't grind SketchUp to a halt.
See it open cleanly in SketchUp.
Download the free sample and test it in SketchUp. When it fits, buy a pack and turn your own product photos into models.
